Women all around our nation suffer from this lie that was born so many years ago that it is hard to even track down when it started. The reason that I only include women in this statement is because women are more suceeptible to these thoughts and feelings of inadequacy than men. Our society has created this superficial image of what the “perfect” women body should look like and all women are supposed to live up to this to be considered “beautiful”. I have not even escaped this terrible curse of not feeling like I am good enough, beautiful enough, and have big enough breasts to be loved by our society. Women all around the world modify their bodies thinking that it will make them happier if they are able to have the perfect body, but have a slim tummy, or big breasts, or thin thighs–where does the line get drawn when enough is enough. You know I do not have the best body and even if I did there is still something that could be done to modify it because that is the way our minds think. There is always more to be done, more money to be made, and better things to be had, but what if our society really thought about the emptiness of those wants. You know people that have everything always want more and people who have great bodies…it still isn’t enough. It is sickening to be in this society that nothing is ever good enough, especially because I get sucked in on a daily basis and have to refocus myself or else I fall in again and again to the lies that the society puts in my brain!

I love weddings–always have. I am just waiting and waiting for the rest of my girlfriends to stop messing around and get out of the party phase so they can settle down get MARRIED and start making babies. I love all this stuff. It is was makes me smile! Seeing two people in love and just completely enthralled in each others company is the best thing in the world, especially when it is people that you care about. Not only to I love the event of weddings or the people getting married I just love the preparation of the wedding. You know so many people that you talk to just hated the process of picking everything out and getting all the ducks in a row…the MONEY and the rest of the jazz, but I loved every second of my wedding. I loved meeting with everyone to talk about flowers, music, cakes and probably my favorite was the invitations. The invitation is the first thing that people see and it basically represents what your wedding is going to be like (is it going to be formal, informal, weird colors, sit down dinner, etc.) The invitation is extremely important! I loved my wedding invitations it took me a long time to find what I wanted but when I found it I loved them–they are 1st Class Wedding Invitations.
My favorite invitation looking at new and updated invites would be something that is very elegant. I loved the pearl finishes with cream or ecru cardstock and lined envelopes are a must. Just look that these invitations…the new zooming feature they have you can totally see the quality of the invitation. I was always afraid of buying these certain things online, but with this feature you can see exactly what you are going to be getting the texture and quality is amazing. Like I said earlier, the invitation sets the tone for the wedding and my wedding was absolutely gorgeous. My invitations were elegant and my dress was amazing our friends and family all came to celebrate with us and at our reception my husband played and SANG the wedding singer song from the end of the movie–of my gosh I was so embarrassed, but looking back on it was so funny, you know that song the I wanna grow old with you…He learned to play the guitar just to sing that song to me at the wedding! What an amazing wedding and man that I got. Blessed!

So before we moved into our new house we found a crack in two of our tiles. I was freaking out hoping that it wasn’t something extremely big that would make us not want to buy the house, so we talked to our relater and she called the customer service rep for the development. They came out with their tile company and said yes, you know the house is so new that it is going through the settling of the ground and that cause some tiles to crack. They said but we will replace these tiles for free for you as a courtesy. AWESOME! well it took so long to close on our house that we closed really close to the end of the month and had to move in so they couldn’t come and replace the time until after we already had our stuff moved in…well we matched the tile and apparently the tile got switched around at the factory and they had completely the wrong color….great so we went back and forth trying to get the right color and it has now been 4 weeks with our tile completely ripped out-mind you I have two year old and so there were a lot of trips and bumps and what not, well they came to match the tile 3 times and still no match…so we are settling for some tile that is not a complete match but close to and alternating different colors so hopefully it will look half way decent…we will see how it goes.

These magnalights are great. My husband is a hunter and it is basically required if you are hunting at night at all. We live in the desert and pretty often my husband goes hunting with the guys–they have one huge light mounted on the truck and then usually each of them has one on their gun. Now what I am about to tell you in not exciting…you would think that they shoot like rattle snakes or something that like hurts people–no they shoot jack rabbits. Now I have never seen a jack rabbit, but I thought they were like little white cotton tailed little bunny’s until I say the pictures oh my gosh these things are freakin HUGE. They were all taking pictures with the bunny’s that they shot like it was something to be proud of and they were holding them up–the bunny’s were like 4ft long oh my gosh they were huge. I think the best part of the whole entire story was that this one guy that went with them had never been hunting and is our worship leader at our church.. I mean all the guys they went with were people from our church, but this one he is like a really sweet guy…he had nightmares for the next week about killing the bunny. I thought it was hilarious except that would definitly be me! If it were for the hid lights or the magnalights that they use when they do their “manly thing” they would not be able to go hunting or shooting little innocent bunny’s. The other great use that these lights are used for is for off roading…that is not one of my favorite things to do. I am such a scardy cat that those types of things really scare me, but as long as my husband is having fun doing things he loves to do–I am happy.

It is disturbing to me that our society has come to the point where putting flags up in their yards is virtually non-existent. I drove around the other day, well I didn’t just drive around to look at how many homes had flags out, but I was driving to my moms house for a Memorial Day get together and there were probably 3 house in their little neighborhood that had flags out. I thought that in my moms neighborhood there would be more than in my neighborhood considering she lives in a country club I thought that, you know they are older people mostly and more responsible whereas my house they are single family homes (small homes) and a lot of people in our neighborhood I would say maybe 20% are renters and renter usually don’t put up flags, right? I don’t know, I don’t want to generalize, but I just find that renters are more irresponsible and would not take the time to buy a flag and put it up. But back to the original point that Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for the men and women who have protected our country–given their lives and sacrificed not only their bodies but time with their families. Please don’t let the business of your day get in the way of recognizing the importance of the people who protect our rights.

Now what girl doesn’t like shopping. I love to shop–my husband hates it, though I do have to say I haven’t been shopping in awhile I have been so darn busy there is not time for shopping for myself only for groceries and necessary items for the home. I think that websites that give me an opportunity to compare different items that I am interested in is very useful and I think it might even help sales in stores because women and even men are able to sit and home and look around themselves for different things they are interested in. For me the internet is very useful considering I have a 2 year old and if I were to take him anywhere to go shopping that would take more than just in and out kind of shopping it will not work–therefore being able to look up a product online and then go into the store to buy it is very helpful. Products such as clothing, computers, lingerie and toys for my kids are all things that I am interested in look at and comparing to different prices before I go to the store to actually purchase.

Today started off as just any regular day, you know get up get some coffee–clean up after my boys and then Kaleb gets up…the first 20minutes of my day are probably my favorite. Any mom would understand why if they get up before their kids. It is just that time that you get to relax with peace and quiet–the air is crisp and the sun is getting ready to say “hi, hello–good morning”! So anyways yes just a regular day, my husbands day off so that was exciting I haven’t seen him in 3 straight days so it was nice to see him. I took Kaleb to school this morning–then get home to meet the tile people to match our tile and wake my husband up to start the day–we were able to go to lunch together which was awesome and the place we went, Bahama Breeze, was great! We went to my moms store and helped her do a few things organizing putting new light bulbs in, you know just stuff and then my mom and I picked up my new bedding for my bed and got the curtains and valences–SO fun! Well that was basically my day—nothing out of the ordinary..haha and you thought there was going to be something fun.

The iphone is amazing. I love the way it looks so sleek and slim–nice black shiny face and the touch screen is awesome–for the first two days! Even the ipod has such a great look at the beginning and then it just gets all scratched and scrapped. I looked into getting the iphone after seeing it all over the TV and internet, but after looking into it and seeing how my old ipod looked before I got the new one with a cover the scratching is what held me back. Who wants a phone that if you even put it in your pocket it would get scratched. I think the new cover that is only .2 millimeters think and completly clear–my goodness there isn’t anything else that I could think of that would go wrong with the appearance. The fact that you ca n take the cover off and it won’t leave a residue or sticky surface is very important. I think the new iphone covers are great for the iphones!

Allie is so precious to me! We do not line in the greatest part of town, nor the worst but definitely not the country club–which is where I grew up, so this was a big move for me when we got married. It was just for a little while, but I knew it was going to be hard to handle. We had a 10 month old son and just me at home every night–my husband worked nights. I am a scardy cat I know, but when you are a young girl with a little baby that depends on you to keep it safe, its important. My biggest fear is that someone would break into my house and kill me or something and my son would be helpless. I wasnt so much as afraid they would take my son, which I am perfectly aware some people do that, but I was more afraid that they would take everything (which I could care less about) but leave the front door open and my son would wake up and yes he could walk and crawl out of his bed and he would come out and the door would be open. I could just see him outside late at night by himself and go into the street or something–anyways against my mother (whose opinion I value) and my husbands I finally talked him to getting me a dog. Our friends golden retriever had puppies about 9 months earlier and they had kept just one, we couldn’t afford one of the puppies when we they were first born so thats why we didn’t have one. One Sunday morning though we were at church as usual and chatting with some friends and told them we were going to look for puppies today and the shelter and they gave us that–look you know when people are like “oh have I got something exciting for you”. Well we ended up going over to their house that day and picking up little Allie. She is the sweetest little dog ever, who loves her mommy I might add. She is so dear to me!
